TBR Program Update #01 - Record Program numbers highlight exciting start to TBR

Bourke St with some early features

Bourke St in June

Game day has arrived!! That’s right – TBR:2010 is set to kick off Saturday!!

Numbers are up above 90!!

Our growth verifies a number of key strategic initiatives implemented both on and off snow by TBR in back in 2008 when we sat down and resolved to create the best possible grass roots training program for maximising the skiing potential of freestylers in the world!!

We are glad to have you on-board, all the best and enjoy the ride for season 2010!!

Coaching News
TBR is stoked to have a number of absolute gun coaching recruits to add to our already impressive pool of talent for season 2010..
Olympic Winter Institute of Australia Acrobatic Coach Anthony Khoury will be with us for the first week of the school holiday program, conducting a number of acrobatic sessions in the sports hall.

The moustache toting mogul slayer and 2010 Vancouver Olympian Ramone Cooper himself will be lending a helping hand in the second week of the program.

And last but definitely not least, top shelf US Mogul Skier Nick Hanscom from Park City Utah will be touching down to provide TBR with some much needed international flavour for season 2010.

First Day Operations Plan

Saturday June 26
Meeting place: Village Square
Time: 8:45am
Jackets
Be sure to collect your TBR:2010 Karbon team jacket from the Cow Camp centre at 8.45AM. Don’t bother wearing another jacket, we have nowhere to keep it!! Just layer up and dawdle a little less on the way down..

Groups
This year we are trialling something new to kick start proceedings out on the hill. For ease of introduction and to make sure we get out onto the hill before sun down - TBR athletes will ski together as a group with their relevant program: Grom, Mogul or Freeride for the first day. Specific groups will then be formed on the Sunday. The primary reason for this move is to allow the TBR Coaching team to gain an accurate picture of ability, goals and social dynamics to best group athletes for the season.

Weekend Weather
If you believe the forecast, Frosty the Snowman is set to decent on Mt Buller late Friday - with a flake or two of the white stuff expected for the first day of the program!! Follow up fronts are scheduled to come through early the following week - could we ask for more!?

Terrain Update
Bourke St, Baldy and Shaky Knees are open for skiing. Whilst the crew at MBP have scrapped together a sweet early season rail park on Bourke St!!

TBR also has exclusive access to ‘the patch’ on Summit for jumps, rails, mogul lines and technical features such as rollers to practice absorption and extension. The catch – there’s always one.. The patch is an isolated island of snow on the summit at this stage of the season so a small hike or two will be required to enjoy its fruit – the price you pay for exclusivity!!
