TBR Social Outing of Sorts

Helen Clark, Mark Ashkanasy and Liam Wallis

2010 Vancouver Olympian Ramone Cooper with Melinda Cohen and Lorraine Lock

Once again TBR parents along with our coaches descended upon the Dump Inn at the Ski Club of Victoria to hang out and get to know each other as we begin our assault on season 2010 - Thank you to all those who braved the uniquely Australia mountain conditions to join in the fun!!

Despite the soggy ending we have been humbled by the progression of our riders during the last two training week training block. The theme for TBR:2010 is Possibility – what can happen & what does happen for some.. With this in mind we move forward with a focus on making the most out of opportunities to improve and excel!!

Thanks to Australian Mogul Winter Olympian Ramone Cooper for hanging out with the program over the past week. The club values having elite level athletes such as Ramone and TBR:2010’s own Nick Hanscom’s ability to give the kids a little inspiration and exposure to what it takes to make it to the top of our sport.

Dr Mark from isft gave yet another of his inspirational talks raising awareness in relation to the dangers and indiscriminant nature of Melanoma. We as outdoor enthusiasts are at particular risk & it is for this reason that TBR finds it of particular importance to support Dr Mark & his efforts. We thank him for his time and implore you to visit the isft website & make a pledge of your support with a small donation - http://iskifortommy.com/

In closing a big shout out must go to Sheridan for her wonderful hospitality once again and of course to the celebrity himself – James ‘Jabba’ Abacromby for his elegant draw of the door prize!!
