Open Edit Video Contest

A new competition is kicking off this season in Australia. It’s the brain-child of TBR coaches Joe Corcoran, Nick FJ, Watkin and Oscar McLennan. It’s call the Open Edit. It’s a grassroots video contest for anyone who skis or boards – perfect for all the athletes across the TBR groups.

How does it work?
You make a clip showcasing your 2010 Australian season with TBR. Do it with a mate if you like. Post the video online through Vimeo.com and SoOAirTime.com. The video with the most votes from 1st Sep 2010 til 17th Sept 201 takes home the glory. The amazing prizes include trips to Japan, skis, boards, and loads of other gear.

So WHAT do I actually have to do to ENTER?
1. Express your interest with an email to sooairtime@gmail.com
2. Start Filming! Australian Footage only. Doesn’t need to be expert. Just enjoy!
3. Put it together. No longer than 3 minutes.
4. Upload your video to www.vimeo.com
5. Send us an email at sooairtime@gmail.com with the link. Deadline is Wednesday 1st September.
6. Tell your friends. The most votes win, so get promoting/pestering. Voting closes Friday 17th September.”

And what is this other event, SoO AirTime 2010, I hear about?
The same TBR team are running another video-based event called SoO AirTime 2010. We take the six best riders from each Victoria and NSW and team them with our nation’s most creative videographers. The teams are then pitted against one another in a State-of-origin battle - each team crafting a video across three days from 31st August til September 2nd at Mt Buller. The videos are then posted online at SoO AirTime.com – the same website as the OPEN EDIT. You vote for your favourite from Sunday September 5th til Friday 17th to decide which State reigns supreme. So, you’d better be voting for Victoria....

Two juniors will be selected from the OPEN EDIT 2010 to compete in next year’s SoO AirTime 2011. So get filming.
