Buller Ski Lifts (BSL) is a private company that owns and operates Victoria's largest lifting network of 20 lifts, a thriving Ski & Snowboard School and childcare facility, the Mt Buller Chalet Hotel & Suites and ABOM Hotel among a collection of other on-mountain hospitality venues at Mt Buller. In addition BSL has several Buller Sports and Altitude retail and rental stores at Mt Buller, Mansfield and a property development and maintenance business unit.

Alpine Resorts Victoria is responsible for a range of resort management responsibilities including environmental management, snow clearing, car parking, day shelters and public toilets, water for snowmaking, water for domestic and commercial use, sewerage treatment works, visitor and stakeholder information, village roads, snow and weather reports, shuttle buses, waste and recycling services, recreational trails, and Mt Stirling snow clearing, ski patrol and snow-trail maintenance. |

The Australian Olympic Committee (AOC) formed the Australian Institute of Winter Sports (AIWS) after the Nagano Winter Olympics in 1998, to enable the development of elite performances in winter sports by Australian athletes, through the provision of adequate funding, world-class sports programming and technical coaching. On July 1st 2001, the organisation was renamed to become the Olympic Winter Institute of Australia (OWIA).
The clear objective of the OWIA is focusing resources on the areas where the best results and medals can be achieved at the Olympic Winter Games. Also important is the provision of experiences and fundamentals during the OWG quadrennial period, which may increase the possible medal tally at future Olympic Winter Games. |
