FreeBOM has gone nocturnal and entries are closed. TBR training to proceed during the day as normal.  

We are so excited for this twilight addition of FreeBOM.

From 5pm on Bourke Street the freeski community of Mt Buller will shred through the FreeBOM Freestyle Slalom course. Expect music, dancing and snow games to compliment the Bourke Street bonanza.

Entries are now closed. Those that may have missed out please know that you are welcome! All skiers and mono-boarders are welcome to FreeBOM - dance, ski, laugh.

  • Top 4 Youth Division jNats/NSW Perisher Junior Series (Single Moguls Only) performance
  • Top 4 (Div 3) VIC/NSW State Interschools
  • Top 3 (Div 4) VIC/NSW State Interschools

FreeBOM is this weekend! We are excited to celebrate freeskiing at Mt Buller as we always do with music, dancing, dressing up, high fives and lots of skiing.
 
You may have seen the forecast or just seen the odd bush poke her head out of the snow over the weekend. The next few days are going to be challenging for the snow pack but we are committed to hosting another great event wherever The Mountain lets us ski. And wherever this is we will have our TBR stereo and a whole lot of fun to share in Mt Buller's un-meltable community spirit.
 
All TBR athletes and families are encouraged to enter (to ski or spectate) this community event that invites all skiers, snow (mono) boarders to ski with grace, passion and fearlessness. All entrants receive the custom FreeBOM buff.

The 2024 Junior National Mogul Championships “jNats”, presented by major sponsor Adams Estate Agents, made a great return to the Mt Buller event calendar with a day of spectacular mogul action on the Chamois ski run.

Difficult snow conditions in 2023 forced the event not to take place, but this year nothing could stop the event going ahead, thanks to the amazing Mt Buller Outdoor Operations Team who over the summer installed the capability
for a Snow Factory to be placed at the top of the run, ensuring all events can now go ahead as scheduled.

Competitors took on the longest jNats course in history with a 199m course length featuring two jumps. Qualification rounds took place earlier in the day with the top-eight in each division advancing to the night finals with a great crowd on hand to cheer them on.

The Junior division (born January 1 2005 to Dec 31, 2010) was won by Tom Luscombe and Georgia Bolton, who put down the highest scoring runs in the final round to record victory.

In the Youth division (born January 1, 2011, or later), Isabella Lim and Alfie Turner won both the qualifying and final rounds for their first ever jNats win.

With many athletes not having competed on chamois since 2022, the event served as a great warm up for events to come later in the season such as the Victorian Interschools and ABOM Mogul Challenge.
