![]() Traditionally the National Interschools have alternated between Victoria and NSW on an annual basis. In 2013 the National Interschools took place at Mt Buller, with 2014 scheduled to take place at Perisher, NSW. Ski and Snowboard Australia (SSA), are the owners of the Victorian leg of the National Interschools. Recently, SSA have put the future hosting of the event out to tender, with resorts from any state in Australia eligible to submit a tender offer. Ski & Snowboard Australia recently advised that tender offers were received from the following resorts:
Victorian skiers are faced with the possibility of having to travel each year to NSW to compete in the National Interschools. Team Buller strongly believes that awarding the event to NSW for consecutive years would be unfair due to the following reasons:
As mentioned by SSA in their recent website article, written submissions are welcomed. We encourage Interschool participants to voice their opinions, by doing one or both of the following:

After one of the warmest and driest lead in periods, things sure did change very quickly! The first week of the program has been outstanding, with the TBR Groups skiing the whole mountain including many of our favorite black diamond runs. Watching some of the leading TBR coaches and athletes skiing the steep lines, dropping cliffs and performing some big jumps has been spectacular, and really showcases the all-round skills the TBR program develops. Weather Forecast – More Snow Coming! Weather guru Jane Bunn is forecasting even more snow this weekend, with a bigger dump mid next week. Conditions should be as good as it gets if these two systems happen as planned. Click here to view Jane's latest forecast. Facilities Update – Aerial Site & Mogul Course With more snow and snowmaking commencing on Chamois, we anticipate being able to build our first mogul course next week. The Aerial Site is close to completion, with just a little more snow needed to smooth out the landing. After the next snowfall and some snowmaking we will be ready to push up some bumps! Photos & Video Many great photos from the holidays with the great snow and recent blue skies are currently on the TBR:Facebook page. BOUNCE is an indoor trampolining universe that’s become a training institution for elite air-sports athletes, and a loved haunt for kids, schools and families looking for a healthy and accessible adrenaline rush. BOUNCE has five venues each with a network of interconnected trampolines, wall trampolines harnesses and giant air bags. BOUNCE is a regular hangout for university and school ski clubs and teams, and will shortly launch a 10 level ski and snowboarding aerials program designed by Dave Morris with SSA. TBR Manager Andrew Pattison sees BOUNCE as an ideal partner for the program. “BOUNCE operates great facilities across Australia and is a perfect fit for TBR, and of course very popular with our athletes.” BOUNCE co-founder Ant Morell, is equally excited about the partnership with TBR. "Its exciting for us to continue our working relationship with TBR. Having elite athletes training at Bounce has helped shape our thinking around new venue features which have been incorporated in our new Blackburn facility. The relationship has also helped to pave the way for the aerials program we have been working on with Dave Morris and the team at SSA." BOUNCE branding on the TBR athlete and coaches jackets looks great, and has been highly visible already on snow during the 2014 winter. ![]() The official Freeski Camp of TBR, Skiers Junction, has released information for their 2015 camp in Colorado, USA.
