The crowd were given a good show by the 60 competitors who threw down in the best of two runs format. Clear conditions and a hard fast course made for an exciting day and some impressive tricks.
It was a great day for sibling rivalry with the Staveley family securing top billing for the men's and women's open snowboard division thanks to impressive runs by Luke, Lauren and Cam Staveley. Also in the Rodden household both Jared and Talae dominated the Open Ski division with their impressive show of tricks to secure the top two places.
Congratulations to all participants. It was a great day in the park and an opportunity to simply enjoy the fun and flow of slopestyle skiing and boarding. It's an event that is only growing and will see more entries next year as slopestyle gains popularity thanks to it's Olympic sporting status. Roll on the Subaru Victorian Interschools Championships later this month!
